An 18-year-old girl wants action to be taken after she fell through a drain outside KFC.
Aleksandra Kubicka was walking out of KFC towards her car in Strood Retail Park on Saturday at 8pm when the incident happened.
She said a drain cover suddenly collapsed underneath her foot and her leg was plunged deep into the sewage.
Aleksandra said: "It was just a horrible smell and I was in complete shock.
"The first thing I thought was 'no, my flip flops are new'.
"But then I just went into shock, I couldn't move, I was completely stuck."
Her dad Chris lifted her out of the drain.
Aleksandra sat on the side of the road, the gash on her leg was bleeding and her chicken popcorn was strewn across the car park.
The A-level student said: "I started to panic because my leg was in a sewer, what if the cut got infected?
"I told my dad to run into KFC and he grabbed paper towels.
"My mum, Justyna was frozen with terror - she thought I had broken my leg."
The family went to their home, in Brompton Farm Road in Strood, and got Aleksandra cleaned up.
The incident happened the day after her school prom.
Aleksandra and her mum visited Strood Retail Park on Monday to check the drain.
It had not been fixed and the KFC staff said the car park was not their responsibility.
Aleksandra has posted on Facebook group Strood Life asking for advice on what action she can take to resolve the issue.
KFC has confirmed to KentOnline that it is not responsible and believes car park company UKPC should fix the drain.
Aleksandra called Medway Council and UKPC, but neither claimed responsibility.
The council has said it is not responsible and it does not own the car park.
Aleksandra said: "If someone just fixed the problem I wouldn't be doing this.
"But it hasn't been fixed and it isn't safe. Someone vulnerable could get hurt.
"I volunteer at Darent Valley Hospital with dementia patients. I started thinking about them, people like them could get seriously hurt. Something needs to be done about this."
Aleksandra has been put on a course of antibiotics in case of infection
UKPC has been contacted for a comment.
In 2014, a girl in Dover got stuck down a drain while trying to retrieve her mobile phone.
