Chatham man Rasad Miah fourth to be charged over death of grandmother Harjit Chaggar found dead in Sani Globe store

A man has appeared in court today in connection with the death of pensioner Harjit Chaggar whose body was found in a shop.
Rasad Miah, 27, of Otway Street, Chatham, has been charged with preventing the lawful burial of Mrs Chaggar, who was found dead in the Sani Globe store in Luton Road, Chatham on September 14 last year.
Miah did not enter a plea in relation to the charge at Medway Magistrates' Court and the case was sent to Maidstone Crown Court.
Miah will appear there tomorrow and was granted bail until then.
Three men accused of murdering Mrs Chaggar, a 69-year-old grandmother, are due to go on trial at crown court on March 17.
Abdul Hannan, 44, of Aldon Close, Maidstone, Murshed Miah, 38, of Wheeler Street, Maidstone, and Mohammad Islam, 28, of Windmill Road, Gillingham, are all remanded in custody.
Grandmother Mrs Chaggar, a retired machinist, of Hillside Road, Chatham, had gone missing on September 2 after last being seen in the Luton Arches area at about 4pm that day.
