Holcombe were knocked out of the EH Cup at the third round stage following a 3-1 defeat at Bowdon.

The Premier Division side were always favourites to progress against their Conference East opponents, with David Mathews' goal no more than a consolation for the Medway side.

On Sunday, Holcombe return to league action with a trip to Old Loughtonians.
