An image of the dress a woman was wearing when she was raped by two men in a park has been released in a bid to jog witnesses memories almost three months on from the attack.

The suspects, who police have also issues efits of, targeted her in Gillingham Park at 5pm on May 4.

Officers initially appealed for help in June just days after the incident was reported to them and a computer generated image of one of the suspects was issued.

A member of the public has since been identified as a potential witness who may have important information to help police.

He was approached by the victim in the park and asked to use his mobile phone in the moments after the attack.

The man is described as a mixed-race man aged in his early 20s and was wearing a white polo shirt with a crocodile logo on it.

Police are keen to hear from anyone who could help them trace the two suspects.

One is black with a large build and broad chest and aged in his 20s. He was wearing a black short-sleeve T-shirt, grey jogging bottoms and grey Nike trainers with white soles.

He also had a stud earring in his left ear and spoke with a London accent.

The second man is white and ginger with a slim build and black rimmed glasses.

One held her down while the other raped her.

He was wearing a grey short-sleeved T-shirt, black flared jeans and had a tattoo on his left hand. The victim told police he had a silver chain hanging from a belt loop on his jeans.

Investigating officer Det Insp Neil Kimber said: "We know this incident was some time ago but I would encourage people to think back to where they were on this date.

"If you were exercising in the park you may have seen something that you initially didn’t consider suspicious but is now causing you concern having read these circumstances.

"Alternatively, you may have been out with your family and taken a picture on your phone which has inadvertently captured the suspects in the background.

"We are committed to providing the best possible support to the victim of this case and that includes pursuing justice. I would therefore encourage anyone with information, no matter how small, to get in contact with our officers."
