Injury-hit Invicta Dynamos sign Peter Beerling on permanent contract

Invicta Dynamos head coach Kevin Parrish has bolstered his depleted squad by signing Peter Beerling from Invicta Mustangs.
Dynamos’ catalogue of departures and long-term injuries this season increased last weekend when forward Nicky Lewis dislocated his shoulder in the 5-4 home league defeat against Chelmsford Chieftains.
He will be sidelined for four to six weeks and Parrish, pictured, said: "They say it never rains but it pours and that has certainly been the case at the Dynamos in recent weeks."
But at least Parrish has been able to counter the departures of defensive duo Zach Sullivan and Tim Smith with the permanent acquisition of Beerling.
Beerling, who first played for Dynamos in the 2003-04 season, has helped plug Parrish’s defensive gaps in the last three matches and done enough to win a permanent contract.
Parrish added: "Peter first stepped in for us when we seemingly had more ‘d-men’ out of action than on the ice and did a fantastic job. He has fitted in with the rest of the lads and brings a cool head and a bit of experience."
Dynamos take on Wightlink Raiders at home on Saturday in the cup and travel to Oxford City Stars for a league game on Sunday.
