Man who died after falling from the The Brook Car Park next to the Pentagon Shopping Centre in Chatham named

An inquest has opened into the death of a man who fell from a town centre building.

The victim was named as Mark Williams and a coroner heard today, that it happened at the Pentagon area of The Brook in Chatham on Thursday, January 28.

Police at the scene of the tragedy last week.

The hearing, at County Hall in Maidstone, was told that a post mortem examination showed that the victim died of multiple injuries.

He was identified as Mr Williams, 53, a refuse collector from Darnley Road in Strood.

Mr Williams was a single man who was born in Chatham.

Area coroner Katrina Hepburn adjourned the inquest until June 8 at County Hall in Maidstone.
