Invicta Dynamos coach Kevin Parrish eyeing another upset against Romford Raiders

Kevin Parrish knows his Dynamos side need to take maximum points against lowly Peterborough Islanders and Haringey Greyhounds

Invicta Dynamos head coach Kevin Parrish believes his side can claim their second big scalp in eight days on Sunday.

After beating second-placed Chelmsford Chieftains 3-2 last weekend, Dynamos travel to ENIHL South Division 1 leaders Romford Raiders on Sunday.

Parrish said: "The Chelmsford win showed we can do it against the top teams but we have just got to have the belief.

"We did Romford a big favour in beating Chelmsford because it kept them top but we are now hoping to pull off a bit of a ‘spoiler’ on Sunday to keep the title race open for as long as possible."

The victory over Chelmsford, which extended Dynamos’ unbeaten league run to five matches, was one of the most satisfying of the season for Parrish whose side had lost four of their previous five games against the Chieftains.

This weekend Dynamos are involved in a double header, with Bristol Pitbulls coming to the Silver Blades Ice Rink on Saturday evening (5.15pm).

Parrish warned: "If we throw two points away against Bristol because we are thinking about the Romford game, it will mean the win over Chelmsford was a waste of time. Bristol won’t come here to roll over and they beat us at our place last season but it’s important that we keep our unbeaten run going ahead of Romford."
