Head coach Kevin Parrish says nothing less than four points from Invicta Dynamos’ two games at the weekend will be acceptable if they want to defend their ENIHL Division 1 crown.

Dynamos suffered their third defeat of the season last weekend but stayed second – three points behind leaders Wightlink Raiders with three games in hand – after the Isle of Wight side drew both their games.

Michael Timms and Callum Fowler each claimed a brace as the Dynamos recovered from the disappointment of losing at third-placed Chelmsford on Saturday with a 6-4 win at Streatham Redskins on Sunday.

Fowler netted in just 45 seconds to put the visitors ahead and Liam Chong made it two before the hosts pulled level midway through the second period.

Nicky Lewis made it 3-2 and Timms added the fourth and despite the hosts pulling another goal back, Fowler’s second made it 5-3 and Timms’ second meant the Redskins’ fourth was nothing more than a consolation.

Two goals from Chong were not enough to prevent the Mos crashing to a 7-2 defeat in Essex the day before as the Mos’ five-game winning streak came to an abrupt halt.

The hosts led 2-0 before Chong struck but the game was up at 6-1 when he scored his second.

Mos face another testing double-header with a trip to fourth-placed Romford Raiders tomorrow (Saturday) before Oxford City Stars visit Silver Blades on Sunday.

Parrish, pictured, said: "We didn’t lose any ground last weekend which was lucky. Isle of Wight didn’t pull away from us and Chelmsford drew on Sunday which meant they didn’t close the gap too much.

"It was disappointing to lose but we’ll get over it. We had six or seven come down with the flu bug before the game and weren’t able to train on the Thursday."

He added: "It is a four-horse race for the title. Romford are getting better and have got a game in hand, then there’s us, Chelmsford and Isle of Wight.

"If we want to be up there, then we need four points minimum this weekend."
