Head coach Kevin Parrish says the Invicta Dynamos are entering a transitional phase and with such a large turnover of players this summer he will set an initial target of a play-off spot in ENIHL Division 1 South.

Despite being named ENIHL Southern Champions for the eighth successive season last term and having twice been crowned National Champions, Parrish wants to lower expectations ahead of the 2010/11 season, which starts in September.

Parrish (pictured) said: "I want us to be competitive, of course, but I don’t want expectations of winning the league on our shoulders at the start of the season.

"We will probably have an almost totally new team next season with about 12 changes from last season. We have had a good seven or eight years of success. There are not many teams at any level that have done what we’ve done.

"I expect us to get into the play-offs, but I won’t be talking about winning the league just yet. It’s a competitive division and it will be an interesting season."

Parrish said he was delighted with the capture of netminder Mark Hartley from Elite League side Nottingham Panthers and Great Britain under-18s forward Liam Chong, who excelled in the World Championships earlier this year.

Chong, 18, played for Chelmsford and Romford before switching to the US to attend a school in Lake Placid, New York.

The pair join Tim Smith, Karl Lennon, Adam Copland and new signing Callum Fowler as the only players currently signed to the club for the new season.

Parrish added: "There is a lot of strengthening still to be done. We have lost a lot of players from last year but I am talking to new players and hope to bring in some like-for like replacements."
