Invicta Dynamos coach Kevin Parrish has every reason to be in a relaxed mood as his side prepare for Sunday’s visit of Milton Keynes Thunder to the Gillingham Ice Bowl (5.15pm).
The Dynamos took their goal tally to 19 in just two matches with last Sunday’s 8-0 victory at Streatham Redskins and Parrish will have the added bonus of being able to pick from a full-strength squad for this weekend’s game.
Captain Karl Lennon is available again after being on honeymoon last week and Parrish said: "It means I will have three strong lines to pick from and that’s a nice situation to be in because the players know that no-one is guaranteed a place."
That said, it will be a big surprise if defenceman Tim Smith doesn’t start after receiving the man of the match award against the Redskins, with Parrish adding: "Tim was outstanding. He controlled everything at the back and also chipped in with a goal."
The Dynamos led 2-0 after the first period through Nicky Lewis and Peter Vaisanen. Vaisanen then added his second before Andy Smith, Tim Smith Lewis again, Joe Johnston and Mike Jones completed the rout.
Parrish added: "To be honest, we were all over them and would have won by a lot more but for the Streatham net minder Will Sanderson. But two wins out of two and 19 goals, I’ve got to be satisfied with that."
