Invicta Dynamos have continued their summer rebuild with the capture of two new players.

Canadian forward Daniel Calitri will take one of the two places for non-EIHA-trained players.

The Toronto-born 23-year-old, who holds an Italian passport, has been playing in the All-American Hockey League for the West Michigan Blizzard, scoring 17 goals and chipping in with 24 assists from just 26 games.

Meanwhile forward Scott Beeson, 24, also arrives from the Haringey Greyhounds, for whom he scored 19 goals and provided 11 assists in 31 games last season.

Calitri said: "I am really looking forward to beginning my hockey career in the UK with the Invicta Dynamos and I can’t wait to get over and start the season with my new teammates and fans. The team has been used to winning ways in the recent past and l look forward to trying to continue that."

Head coach Kevin Parrish (pictured) said: "“It has been a tough time this summer trying to find the right guy to fit in at the Dynamos but I am very confident that Dan fits the bill. He is still young, has plenty of enthusiasm for the game, has good hands, skates well, knows how to find the net and can provide an important lift when the team need it.

"Most importantly he is very eager to get started and he can’t wait to get to the UK and pull on the Dynamos jersey for the first time."

Parrish added: "Scott picked up 30 points with the Greyhounds last season and that tally from 31 games on a struggling side says a lot about both his talent and attitude towards the game.

"That, alongside his size and presence, will make him an important part of a revamped Dynamos team when the new campaign gets underway.”

The new Mos numbers 74 and 10 join Mark Hartley, Anthony Lennon, Adam Copland, Tim Smith, Karl Lennon, Liam Chong, Loyde Fuller and Callum Fowler on the roster for the new season, which starts in September.
