Invicta Dynamos head coach Kevin Parrish believes their ENIHL Division 1 South title chances are probably over after a shock defeat at Chelmsford Chieftains on Sunday.

Dynamos are 10 points adrift of leaders Wightlink Raiders after losing 6-3 in a bruising encounter with Chelmsford and the manner of the defeat left Parrish both angry and frustrated as Chris Borges, pictured, Corey Watkins and Daniel Fudger all received knocks - along with the club’s title aspirations.

Despite the advantage of four games in hand on the leaders, Parrish has conceded a title shot this season is out of reach unless Wightlink slip up again.

Parrish said: "I think the title is Wightlink’s to lose and I can’t see them throwing it away.

"We won’t give up and haven’t given up all season, but trying to cement second place and securing a good play-off position is the target.

"At the start of the season our aim was to finish in the top four and we can still do that."

Dynamos travel to Bracknell Hornets on Saturday followed by a trip to Oxford City Stars on Sunday. The Mos faced Bracknell and Oxford just two weeks ago and enjoyed 9-3 and 11-3 victories.

The Dynamos could have only 12 players fit for this weekend with Borges (concussion), Watkins (concussion) and Fudger (shoulder) all rated doubtful.
