Invicta Dynamos head coach Kevin Parrish has boosted his squad ahead of the new season by agreeing the return of two Mos stars.

Parrish has strengthened his back-line with the return of blue-liner Tom Dennis for a second season and also agreed the return for 16-year-old defenceman Zach Sullivan following a successful rookie campaign which saw him awarded the Players Player of the Year Award.

Dennis, 21, made 42 appearances last season, scoring twice and providing seven assists, after progressing through the junior ranks with the Invicta Mustangs, where he was named defenceman of the year.

Sullivan came through the ranks at the Dynamos before moving on to Swindon and Guildford but at the start of last season rejoined Invicta on a two-way contract and he was near ever-present making 44 appearances, scoring once and adding 10 assists.

Parrish (pictured) said: "Tom had a good first year with us and took the step up to Division 1 hockey in his stride as he improved throughout the season, game by game.

"Tom’s form has been good but he has the potential to step it up further. The task for him now is to push on and progress into a top-four defenceman and I for one think he is definitely capable."

He added: "Zach had a fantastic first season with us and so I’m delighted he is not just back for more but that he is now here on a full-time basis. Despite his young age he never looked out of place at this level and he frequently turned out performances that were well beyond his years.

“The fact that Zach was voted by his teammates as the ‘Players’ Player of the Year’ last term speaks volumes of both his attitude and ability and I look forward to seeing him develop further over the coming season.

"He already has plenty of talent but, more importantly, the potential to get better and so we are very pleased he will still be a part of the Dynamos’ team next term.”

Parrish has now signed 12 players ahead of the new campaign, with Wightlink Raiders’ duo Richard Bentham and Robbie Brown joining the club and more new signings expected.
