Invicta Dynamos threw away a two-goal lead on Sunday as they crashed to a 3-2 defeat at home to Chelmsford Chieftains in NIHL South Division 1.
The hosts made the perfect start when Nathaniel Rose, pictured, struck to open the scoring on four minutes.
Justin Noble then made it 2-0 on 21 but the visitors pulled a goal back almost immediately through James Ayling.
The second period ended all square after Gary Clarke’s goal restored parity for the Essex side.
Tibor Schneider then hit what proved to be Chelmsford’s winning goal on 51 minutes as the Mos slipped to their first home defeat in four outings.
That followed their thumping 10-3 win away to basement boys Solent & Gosport on Saturday.
