A new Japanese café has replaced an old Wimpy bar, bringing a bigger choice of Asian cuisine to food fans.
Sushi Moto and Bento is now up and running in Chatham High Street.
It is open six days a week, Monday to Saturday from midday to 8pm with eat-in, delivery and takeaway options.
Boss Frankie Teo said the café was one of just a few Japanese cuisine options for people living in Medway.
The 49-year-old said: "We opened very recently and are selling popular Japanese cuisine.
"Foods we are offering includes sushi, ramen and chicken katsu.
"There aren't many Japanese options in Chatham or Medway, especially cafés, so we wanted to open a café because of that, and the fact that not all places offer a sit-down service.
"Here we have 18 seats for customers who can come in and eat, or get a takeaway.
"Having a café also allows people to have a look at the food in person, and so far customers have been very positive about what they have eaten.
"My chef has 20 years’ experience in doing this – it's a long-term project here.
"Before I opened, I ran the Chinese takeaway in Gillingham called Summer Palace so this was another good opportunity for me.”
The café has replaced the former Wimpy fast food branch which shut its doors in the High Street earlier this year. It had been there since 2016.
