Musician Jools Holland is to unveil a new weathervane at St James Church in Cooling, where he married his long-term partner Christabel McEwen in 2005.
The church closed in 1976 and is now in the care of a national charity, The Churches Conservation Trust.
It is famous as the setting for the opening scene of the Charles Dicken's classic Great Expectations.
The gilded weathervane, depicting a cockleshell - the symbol of St James - replaces one damaged in storms.
It has been paid for by the Friends of Cooling Church, of which Jools Holland, who lives in Cooling, is patron.
The ceremony will take place on Friday, September 25 at 11am.
