Chatham player/boss Kevin Watson is vowing to feature more as a player next season.

The experienced midfielder (pictured) chose to start several games on the bench, or left himself out altogether, but says that may change.

He said: "I have aspirations to play and feel I have something to give but sacrificed my own position for others early on and people did well.

"I have got to earn the right to play and my place is not a given. I will be joining in pre-season training and put myself up for selection."

Chatham stage their end-of-season awards night at Maidstone Road next Friday (May 18), when the new clubhouse extension will be open for the first time.
