Knife seized after skate park robbery at Jackson's Field, Rochester

A knife was found at a skate park following a suspected robbery.

The incident at Jackson's Field, off City Way in Rochester on Saturday night allegedly saw a group of four men steal a mobile phone and wallet off two others.

One person reportedly had a knife which one of the victims was able to gain possession of. This caused the suspects to leave the park at around 8pm.

None of the men involved, all of whom are believed to be in their 20s, were seriously injured during the incident on March 26.

Officers attended and seized a knife from the scene and later arrested a 21-year-old man from Chatham on suspicion of robbery.

He has since been released on bail pending further inquiries until April 21.
