Two lanes of the London bound M2 were closed last night after a crash involving one car.

Emergency services were called to the scene of the accident just before 7pm.

Firefighters had to use hydraulic cutting equipment to remove the roof of the car in order to rescue the male driver.

He was complaining of neck and lower back pain and was given into the care of the ambulance service.
