Trains have been severely disrupted after a large tree crashed down over railway tracks.
Network Rail staff are working to remove the huge branches on the line between Halling and Cuxton.
The timber means the Medway Valley Line is blocked between Maidstone West and Strood.
A rail replacement bus is transporting commuters to Maidstone.
Passengers can also use their tickets on buses - 71 between Maidstone, Barming, New Hythe and Snodland and 155 between Maidstone, Aylesford and Chatham.
It has also emerged there was a landslip in the area.
The line is expected to be blocked until the end of the day.
