A man hit by a train at Chatham station remains in hospital in a stable condition, police said today.

The victim, believed to be from Chatham, was airlifted with "life-changing" leg injuries after being struck yesterday.

It happened just before 3pm and there were delays between Swanley and Faversham as a result.
