A man has been cautioned after a drugs raid in Maidstone.
The 22-year-old man was cautioned for handling stolen goods, possession of cocaine and possession of cannabis after police from Maidstone’s Urban Neighbourhood Team carried out a afternoon raid on two addresses in Peel Street, Maidstone on Wednesday, August 26.
The operation was organised after police received allegations of drug dealing.
A quantity of what is believed to be herbal cannabis and amphetamine was recovered from the scene.
PC Gabriel Chandler who organised the raid said he was pleased with the results of the raid.
He added: "I hope this will send out a message that police take a zero tolerance approach to drugs in Maidstone. Wherever we receive information of this type of criminal activity we will work swiftly to respond and bring respite to nearby residents whose lives are blighted by the anti-social behaviour associated with drug related crime."
People wishing to report information regarding drugs supply can contact the Urban Neighbourhood Team on 01622 604391 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
