A man was arrested this morning after the car he was driving crashed in Strood town centre.

The passenger side of the green Peugeot 106 was badly damaged in the crash, which happened just after 7am.

The car left a slip road to the Strood Retail Park blocked after spinning round at right-angles to the road.

Police were at the scene at 8.30am today while a recovery truck was en route.

It is believed the driver was the only person in the car and was uninjured. Only one car was involved.
