A man was arrested at a railway station after a woman he was travelling with called 999 for help.

The train the suspect had boarded was met at Gillingham station by transport officers where security officers helped detain the individual.

He was arrested on suspicion of breach of bail conditions and common assault yesterday.

British Transport Police said he was being brought into custody.
