Man taken to hospital after Strood shop robbery

A man was left needing hospital treatment after he was attacked during a robbery.

Witnesses are being sought after cash and a mobile phone were stolen from MJ Mini Market, in Darnley Road, Strood.

Police have appealed for witnesses after the robbery

Three men, all described as black and in their 20s, are believed to have entered a backroom of the shop at around 7.30pm on Monday.

Once inside they assaulted a man before they escaped on foot with the goods.

One of the suspects is said to have been around 6ft, of slim to medium build. At the time he was wearing a black jacket and black jeans and is believed to be in his mid to late 20s.

Another is thought to be around 5ft 6in and around the same age as the first suspect with a similar build.

The third man is described as being around 5ft 6in and in his early to mid-20s. He was wearing a black hat and black clothing.

The Chief Constable's Crime Squad are reviewing the circumstances and would like to hear from anyone who has information of the incident.

Officers would also like to obtain any video footage, such as privately held CCTV or dash cam, that was recorded in the area at the time of the incident.
