Man believed to have fallen 30ft from wall in Dock Road, Chatham, near Fort Amherst

It is believed a man has fallen around 30ft from a wall into a ditch below.

Police, ambulance and fire crews were called to Dock Road in Chatham at 12.30pm to reports a man had fallen from a wall at Fort Amherst.

The man, aged in his 30s suffered lower back pains and a suspected fractured wrist but was stable and taken by road to Medway Maritime Hospital.

It is thought he may have fallen from an un-restored section of the fort.

All emergency services worked together and the area is now cleared.
