Officers have charged a man after an armed robbery at a beauticians.

Three men burst into Beautonics, in High Street, Rainham, at midday last Thursday.

The group entered the beauty salon at around midday, they are reported to have threatened staff with a weapon and a quantity of cash was stolen.

An armed response unit was called to the premises.

Following inquiries, officers arrested 46-year-old Dion Hemsworth at his home address yesterday.

Hemsworth, of Goodall Close, Rainham, has been charged with robbery and will appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court today (Wednesday).
