Man charged in connection with a number of physical and sexual assaults on women in Rainham and Gillingham

A man has been charged in connection with a spate of physical and sexual assaults on women.
The 42-year-old was arrested on Friday and charged yesterday following the incidents in Gillingham and Rainham.
He appeared at Medway Magistrates' Court today where he was remanded to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on December 6.
He is charged with:
- One count of sexual assault in Copperhouse Lane, Rainham, on August 12.
- One count of sexual assault and one count of robbery in Berengrave Lane, Rainham, at 1.25pm on October 27.
- Two counts of assault in Riverside Country Park, Gillingham, on October 9 and in Gillingham Park, Gillingham, on October 13.
The man cannot be named for legal reasons.
