John Guscott, from Chatham, denies 40 allegations which are said to have happened in Medway, Whistable and Sittingbourne

A man accused of multiple sex attacks, robberies and other serious assaults denied 40 accusations when he appeared at Maidstone Crown Court today.

John Guscott, 42, of Kemp Close, Chatham, pleaded not guilty to 18 sexual assaults, eight robberies, one attempted sexual assault, six assaults, four attempted robberies, two charges of exposing himself and one charge of assault by penetration.

All the offences are alleged to have happened between January and November last year in Medway, Whitstable and Sittingbourne.

He will stand trial for these offences on October 19. Judge Philip Statman remanded Guscott in custody.
