Man dies after falling from The Brook car park next to Pentagon Shopping Centre in Chatham

A man has died after falling from a town centre multi-storey car park.

Police and paramedics were called to Chatham at about 2pm yesterday following reports someone had fallen from the building next to the Pentagon Shopping Centre.

A police spokesman confirmed this morning a man, aged in his 50s, has died and a report is being prepared for the coroner.

The death is not being treated as suspicious.

The car park was cordoned off by police throughout the afternoon.

A crew from the South East Coast Ambulance Service was also in attendance and were supported by the Kent Fire and Rescue Service.
