Mark Reilly, 54, of Ploughmans Way, Rainham, charged after police chase along A2 from Faversham

A Medway man will appear in court after being charged with various offences after a police chase which started in Faversham.

Mark Reilly, 54, was arrested on Saturday at about 11.45pm after police tried to stop his vehicle on the A2.

Following the pursuit, the car was found in Wadham Place, Sittingbourne, and Reilly was arrested by police.

Police and ambulance crews were called to the scene at around 10.30pm last night. Stock picture.

Reilly, of Ploughmans Way, Rainham, was later charged with two counts of failing to stop a vehicle, possessing cocaine, possessing cannabis, and driving without due care and attention.

He has been bailed to appear before Medway Magistrates Court on Tuesday, March 27.
