A man whose body was found in the River Medway earlier this year has been named.
Daniel Streeton, 32, was discovered by a yacht owner on Thursday, September 5, at the marina by Medway Bridge.
Emergency services including the Coastguard, fire service, ambulance and police helicopter, were called at around 7pm.
An inquest opening at Maidstone's Archbishop's Palace, Maidstone, on Tuesday revealed Mr Streeton, of Stanhope Road, Swanscombe, was the man pulled from the water.
His cause of death was given as traumatic brain injury from a fractured skull.
The court heard Mr Streeton was last seen on Sunday, September 1, heading towards Swanscombe High Street.
It was not revealed how he came to be in the water.
A full inquest will be heard on Wednesday, March 4.
