A man needed medical help and was held by police after a disturbance involving a gang of people near Gillingham train station.

Police were called just after 6.30pm today to reports of a disturbance involving several people.

Officers detained one man, who needed help for mental health reasons. They stayed on the scene carrying out enquiries.
