Man seriously injured after being hit by car in Brompton Road, Gillingham

A pedestrian was taken to hospital with serious injuries after he was hit by a car.
Police and paramedics were called to Brompton Road, Gillingham, at 5pm yesterday.
The road was closed between the junctions with Mill Road and Prince Arthur Road for around four hours.
Police spokesman Sally Smith said: "A man suffered a serious injury and was taken to a London hospital for treatment.
"His condition is not thought to be life changing or threatening."
Kayliegh Jobson was taking her son to a college interview when she saw the emergency services near the King Charles Hotel.
She said: "The ambulance went past us at about 5.10pm when we drove past and there was a lot of traffic. It was about 5.15pm and the ambulance was parked with lights flashing. No police were in attendance at that time but when we drove back past at 6pm there were police and paramedics there."
The road was reopened at around 8.40pm.
Ambulance spokesman Rich Airey said: "We attended the scene and the pedestrian, who had suffered potentially serious injuries, was treated before being taken to Kings College Hospital.
