A 67-year-old man is in hospital after a suspected hit and run on Rochester Bridge.
The man suffered a broken hip in the incident on Friday night, at about 7.45pm, after being hit by a car.
CCTV crews alerted police who closed the road for a short time while ambulance crews dealt with the patient.
One man, who did not wish to be named, said: “I did not see it, but I was told the driver got out the car, looked at the person and then got back into his car and drove off.”
Medway Police are now investigating and, although no arrests have yet been made, it is believed a member of public noted the car’s registration plate.
