Man on cannabis factory charge

A Gillingham man has been charged with cultivating cannabis and abstracting electricity after a raid at an address in the town.

Officers from Medway police executed a warrant at a home in Randolph Road, on Wednesday, May 6, but details have only just been release by police.

Mark Arpa, 47, of Randolph Road, was arrested at the property and later charged with the two offences.

It is not known at this stage how much cannabis was found in the house, but it is thought to have been destroyed.

Arpa has been bailed to appear before Medway Magistrates Court on Thursday, May 21.
