Gillingham man attacked at cash machine in Railway Street as police launch hunt for suspects

A man was attacked and punched while taking out money from a cash machine as police launch a hunt for two people.

The victim, aged in his 50s, was assaulted while using a cash point in Railway Street, Gillingham when cash and a bank card were stolen.

The incident took place at about 12.45am on Wednesday, September 15 but police have today released images of two men they wish to identify.

Police are investigating the robbery and fraudulent use of a bank card.

The robbery suspect is described as being black and about 5ft 7ins.

He was dressed in a black hoodie and wore blue jeans and an e-fit image has been produced of his face after officers worked with the victim.

Following the attack, the bank card was used for several transactions in shops across Gillingham.

A review of CCTV footage has identified a man police believe will be able to assist with their inquiries.
