Man in 40s 'assaulted and robbed' near Gillingham railway station

Police are investigating after a man was assaulted and robbed near a railway station.

Officers are appealing for anyone who may have seen the incident in Balmoral Road, Gillingham.

The incident happened near Gillingham railway station

It happened near Gillingham railway station at around 11pm on Thursday, November 24.

The victim, a man in his 40s, was allegedly assaulted before having his phone, wallet and headphones stolen.

Investigating officer PC Hannah Corbishley said: "We have been making inquiries into this incident, including the examination of CCTV footage in the area, and are now appealing for information to help identify the suspect."
