Man’s body found in Magpie Hall Road, Chatham, over bank holiday weekend

A man has been found dead in a van over the bank holiday weekend.

Police officers were called to Magpie Hall Road, in Chatham, on Saturday following concerns for the occupant of a vehicle.

They attended the area just before 10am on Saturday, April 29, and the body of a man in his 60s was found.

He pronounced dead at the scene.

Witnesses said the road was closed off near The Victory Academy secondary school by police and there was a parked van open at the back.

His death is not being treated as suspicious and a report is being made for the coroner.
