Police were called to Chatham after a man was seen carrying a weapon.

Officers attended Walderslade Road at about 1.30pm following the report, but the man had left the area on foot.

No assaults or injuries have been reported to police.

Enquiries to establish the circumstances of the incident are ongoing.

No arrests have been made.
