Man taken to hospital after car crashes into M2 central reservation near the Medway bridge

A man was taken to hospital after crashing his vehicle into central reservation on a motorway.

Police were called at around 8.30pm last night to the M2 following the crash on the coastbound carriageway, at junction 2 for the A228, for Strood, near the motorway bridge.

A second car was damaged after colliding with debris on the road.

One lane was closed but later reopened at 10pm after the vehicle was removed from the scene.

A man was treated for injuries by paramedics and later taken to hospital.
