A fire at a house forced a family out of their home and into a hotel.
The family of five who live in Murray Road, Frindsbury, were helped by the British Red Cross after the blaze broke out at 8.04am yesterday.
No one was injured in the fire, which started in a bedroom. The cause is currently unknown.
The family praised the emergency services response as they arrived within 10 minutes of the call.
The mother, who did not want to be named, said: “We really can’t fault them in any way. They got the Red Cross out here who were incredible.”
Firefighters were able to contain the blaze in the bedroom but the rest of the house suffered smoke and water damage.
They were stood down two hours later.
