The final day of Medway Pride took place today
People showing their support for the LGBTQ+ community were in the Towns for the sixth day of celebrations.
A host of entertainment and acts were at Rocheter Castle from midday, including former X-Factor winner Sam Bailey.
She was joined by The Voice UK contestant Jamie Jackson, singer Tara McDonald, drag star Mary O’Kart and tribute acts to Cher, Kylie Minogue and P!nk.
Earlier today, at around 10am, a parade through the streets took place.
It went along Rochester High Street and included local LGBTQIA+ and community performances, such as Bloco Gogo Samba Band, the largest of its kind in the south east, Mandiga Arts carnival and street costume performance and The Loco Cabaret – the home of Medway’s alternative drag and burlesque scene.

The event was so popular that the first two rounds of released tickets sold out within 12 hours.
Medway Council tweeted: “We hope that everyone has had a fantastic day at #MedwayPride today. We are proud to be funders of the event standing with our communities.”
Rochester West councillor Alex Paterson said he was “bursting with pride” about the event, adding: “Parade down the historic High Street & a giant Pride flag hanging from the tallest Norman castle keep in the country. What a fantastic, joyous event.”
