A school has issued a stranger danger warning after two men tried to lure a pupil into a car.

Walderslade Primary sent an email to parents after the child was approached on the way to school in the Lordswood area.

Walderslade Primary School has sent a letter to parents

It is reported that a dark blue car, possibly a Nissan, stopped and asked the pupil if they wanted a lift to school on Monday.

There were two men in the car, one wore glasses and the child said they had an accent.

The pupil refused the lift and immediately called a parent.

It comes after schools in Rainham notified parents of two separate incidents when pupils from Leigh Academy were approached by a man in a red car.

The letter to parents described it as "a worrying incident" and concluded with: "The child is shaken by the experience so we wanted to make you all aware."

The school said it had been reported to police and they had also informed other local head teachers so they could warn parents if they wished to do so.
