Nine migrants have been found stowed away in a lorry at a Medway business park.
Police and an ambulance were called to Gillingham Business Park on Friday afternoon, reportedly just outside packaging company Fuji Seal Europe in Scimitar Close.
The ambulance crew was on hand to check on the migrants’ condition as they poured out of the Heritage vehicle, but no medical problems were reported.
A police spokesman added: “Police were called to Gillingham Business Park at 1.20pm on Friday, November 11 following a report of concern for individuals located in a lorry.
“It is reported nine people were in the lorry. The men were taken to Dover and handed into the care of immigration services.”
Last month, four migrants were discovered in a lorry at Bridge near Canterbury. Home Office officials were called to the village at just after 9am on Thursday, October 27.
On the same day, at around 3.40pm, at least another four people were filmed exiting the back of a lorry on the M25 near the Dartford Crossing.
It is not clear where any of the migrants are from, nor whether they had been living in The Jungle, the illegal camp near Calais which French authorities have now dismantled.
