Missing 13-year-old Melanie Abbott, from Hertford, and Kent teen Jonathan Culwick, 17, from Rochester, found

A missing 13-year-old girl who was thought to be with a 17-year-old Kent boy has been found.

Melanie Abbott went missing from her home in Hertford on Thursday afternoon. The pair were found last night.

Police believed she might have travelled to Kent and was in the company of 17-year–old Jonathan Culwick from Rochester.

The pair may have been spotted using trains in Kent and London.

Speaking yesterday, Det Insp Jon Dick, from Hertfordshire Police, said Melanie’s family had some contact with her and appealed for the pair to contact police.

Police have not yet revealed where they were found.
