Eight months of roadworks are starting in Luton today.

SGN are investing £590,000 to replace the gas mains with new plastic pipe to ensure a safe gas supply.

The project will start at the junction with Chatham Hill and temporary traffic lights will be in place for five weeks.

Work on the junction will begin soon

Engineers will continue the work along Luton Road to Luton High Street over the next few months.

Arriva has warned bus users that some services will also be affected by the road works.
