Operation Jupiter: Daniel Mackenzie arrested in Mara Court, Chatham, on suspicion of dealing Class A drugs

A man was arrested in Chatham on suspicion of dealing Class A drugs during a police crack down on criminal gangs.

Kent Police’s Operation Jupiter team executed a warrant at Mara Court, Chatham, and arrested Daniel Mackenzie on suspicion of supplying heroin and cocaine.

Operation Jupiter is part of local strategy designed to tackle emerging criminal gangs, whose members often travel into the county from other areas.

Mackenzie, 25, of Sydenham Hill, Sydenham has since been charged with possessing heroin and cocaine with intent to supply.

He has been bailed to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court on February 1, 2016.

In a separate incident officers searched a vehicle which they stopped in Lower Range Road, Gravesend on December 31, 2015.

Ricky Johnson-Zwane, 23, of Norway Gate, Rotherhithe, London was arrested and later charged with possessing heroin and crack cocaine with intent to supply.

Johnson-Zwane appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on January 1, 2016 and was bailed to appear at Maidstone Crown Court at a later date, to be determined.
