A man in his 50s was taken to a London hospital with serious injuries after his motorbike hit a central reservation.

The accident happened in Berwick Way, Strood, yesterday, Sunday, at around 4.25pm.

The rider is said to be in a serious but stable condition.

Officers are now appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the accident to come forward or anyone who may have caught images of the biker on his black BMW S1000 XR motorcycle on their dashcam.

An investigation is being carried out by the Serious Collision Investigation Unit and motorists who were in the area can upload their dashcam footage to an online portal
