A man wanted in connection with the murder of a father-of -two from Strood has been arrested in Milan.
Detectives investigating the fatal shooting of Xhem Krasniqi, in Hove, East Sussex, on Saturday, May 18, arrested a 31-year-old man yesterday.
He was arrested by Milan police on the direction of Surrey and Sussex Major Crime Team and will be extradited to the UK, the force said.
Scaffolder Mr Krasniqi, 31, was shot in the abdomen. He was taken to hospital, but later died.
The Albanian national, from the Marlowe Park area of Strood, was in Brighton with his wife, their four-year-old daughter and son, aged seven, when trouble broke out at about 11.30pm.
Two men with Mr Krasniqi were unhurt despite being shot at. Police are treating those incidents as attempted murder.
Police believe a dispute between two warring families could have led to the murder of Mr Krasniqi.
The man in Milan was arrested on suspicion of murder, two attempted murders and possession of a pistol.
A man and a woman from Brighton have already been bailed until July 22 pending further inquiries.
The 34-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder after he flew into Gatwick Airport on May 26. The woman, aged 32, was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
